bmi baby was established on 24 January 2002 and began operations on 22 March 2002 with a flight between East Midlands and Malaga.

In May 2011, Bmibaby launched what it called the first European airline loyalty programme tied into a location based social network. Passengers use the Gowallasmartphone application at Bmibaby check-in desks to collect points.

On 22 December 2011, IAG announced it had agreed a contract with Lufthansa to buy BMI.

The sale was not completed by the time IAG purchased BMI, and so Bmibaby and BMI Regional became part of the group. IAG said it would continue the attempts to sell both airlines.

Since the cease of operations on the 9th of September 2012 Coltishall Airport Group have been working hard to bring back the once proud airline and after a long battle they now own bmi baby.

Two Boeing B737-59D's arrived on Monday 21st or April 2014, G-BVKD as baby01 from Norwich and G-BVKB as baby02 from Bournemouth for temporary storage and a total refit and upgrade took place.

The first flights took place on the 1st May of the same year, G-BVKB as WW52M to East Midlands Airport and G-BVKD as WW62Q to Manston Kent International Airport.

In February 1998 British Airways started a new venture to create a new low-cost airline to compete with easyJet, Ryanair and other low-cost airlines, the Airline was named Go Fly Limited in February 1998 following a lengthy debate over how to choose a name that would best suit the positioning of this new airline.

The fleet would consist of Boeing B737-300's.

The first two B737-300s G-IGOC and G-IGOE were initially acquired via lease from Philippines Airlines.

On 16 May 2002, easyJet announced it would buy GO Fly to expand its own operations.

in January 2014 the Coltishall Airport Group bought GO Fly from easyJet and now future plans GO Fly include buying their first 5 aircraft within a year and kick starting there scheduled routes from Coltishall and is now nothing to do with British Airways or the International Airlines Group (IAG).

DAS Air Cargo was originaly established in 1983 in Ghana and started operations in June 1983. It initially provided ad hoc charters and wet-lease flying for established operators. In 1987 it began regular cargo services between London and Lagos and Entebbe. In 1990, the DAS Air Cargo USA division was opened to operate cargo operations in that country for the airline. The division is based in Miami, Florida, and shared its offices with DAS Air Cargo's main business partner, passenger charter airline First Choice Airways.

The airline was wholly owned by Joseph Roy (Chairman and Chief Executive) and Daisy Roy (Managing Director) and had 228 employees.

DAS Air Cargo also had an EASA 145 approved maintenance facility at Manston Kent International Airport in the UK which has now been transferred over to East Midlands Airport to take over the bmi baby maintenance hanger and paintshop. The Manston facility was used for maintenance on their own aircraft as well as those of World Airways, Gemini Air Cargo and Avient Aviation.

DAS Air Cargo is now owned by the Coltishall Airport Group and operate scheduled  and charter Cargo routes from their home at Coltishall International Airport.

On the 7th of April 2014 DC-10-30F N400JR which was the first aircraft in DAS Air Cargo's new fleet touched down on RW22 at Coltishall.

The first scheduled cargo flight took place the next day to Toulouse as DASAIR1911 in support of Airbus's contract at Coltishall.

Airbus Industries have a major maintenance facility and EADS facility that replaced Bristol Filton after it closed in 2013.

They also have a paintshop and  freighter conversion facility here due to constant demand at their home airport of Toulouse.

BAE Systems have 10 A-4N Skyhawk's based at Coltishall flying under contract for the Royal Air Force  and other Air Forces.

They are used as Target tugs towing targets on exercises .

BAE Systems also have 2 KC-146-100C Mk.4 Tanker Aircraft which support the A-4's on long missions.

A ramp has been dedicated to BAE Systems along with a maintenance Hanger.
